Superstar Dua Lipa spent the Easter holidays with her boyfriend, British actor Callum Turner, in her home country of Albania.

According to Albanian news portal Insajderi, the couple traveled to the Albanian Riviera to enjoy a few relaxing days and reconnect with their roots. RTSH and tourism portal Visit Tirana also reported on the celebrity visit.

Dua Lipa shared numerous impressions of her stay on social media. She posted photos on Instagram of beach walks together, traditional dishes, and family moments. In her post, she simply wrote: “Easter at home.” (Instagram, 2025). The response was huge – numerous Albanian media outlets and fans enthusiastically celebrated her stay, as RTSH points out.

Dua Lipa had already been granted Albanian citizenship by President Bajram Begaj in 2022 in recognition of her international commitment to the country and her services to popularizing Albanian culture (IMDb, November 2022). Once again, she took the opportunity to emphasize her connection to Albania: during her visit, she met with family members and friends and took the opportunity to support local initiatives and social projects. As reported by Visit Tirana, she is regularly involved in the construction of kindergartens and the Sunny Hill Festival, which takes place annually in Pristina.

Dua Lipa’s return to Albania was described by local and international media as an “emotional and inspiring homecoming.” She thus remains not only one of Albania’s most famous ambassadors around the world, but also a role model for the country’s younger generation, as both RTSH and Insajderi emphasize.
