Kosovo, Albania and North Macedonia are deepening their police cooperation and have agreed on a joint strategy to combat cross-border crime.
At the headquarters of the Kosovo Police, General Director Rashit Qalaj hosted his counterparts from Albania and North Macedonia for an official meeting aimed at deepening regional cooperation.
According to an official statement, the discussion focused on topics of mutual interest, with a strong emphasis on boosting interagency collaboration. The goal: to enhance overall security not just within the three countries, but across the wider region.
The coordinated approach is expected to positively impact efforts to prevent organized and cross-border crime.
Director Qalaj thanked Albanian Police Chief Ardi Veliu and North Macedonian Police Chief Sasho Tashevski for their visit, noting that such exchanges are key to strengthening mutual trust and cooperation.
The three officials agreed to intensify their collaboration and committed to holding regular meetings in the future.
