Next attack on Israel: 40 rockets fired from Iran – dead and injured

On Saturday night, Iran launched another massive rocket attack on Israel. According to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), dozens of rockets were fired, mainly at the north of the country. There are reported to be three fatalities and 40 injured. Israel is continuing its air strikes on Iran.

According to the IDF Home Front Command, the attack was aimed in particular at the port city of Haifa, where 40 rockets were identified. Videos shared on social media show bright missiles streaking across the night sky. One rocket struck a two-story residential building in a suburb east of Haifa. The Israeli emergency service Magen David Adom took seven people to hospital with minor injuries or symptoms of shock.

Just under an hour after the attack began, the Home Front Command gave the all-clear: the population no longer needed to stay near shelters.

Israel responds with air strikes on Tehran

Immediately after the Iranian attack, Israel retaliated with airstrikes on targets in Tehran. According to media reports and eyewitnesses, an oil depot in the northwest of the Iranian capital was hit and caught fire. Several heavy explosions shook various parts of the city. Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said on the X platform: “Tehran is burning.”

Since the start of the major Israeli offensive, at least 800 people have been injured in Iran, according to government figures, and nearly 100 have been killed, according to Iran’s UN ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani. The injured were treated in hospitals, a health ministry official said. 230 of these patients have already been discharged.

Possible air strike in Sanaa

Parallel to the airstrikes in Iran, explosions were also reported in the Yemeni capital Sanaa. Initial information indicates that an Israeli attack may have hit a gathering of high-ranking representatives of the Iran-aligned Houthi militia. The target is believed to have been a leading military commander. There has been no official confirmation so far.
