Rama in Luxembourg: Albania Aims to Close All EU Negotiation Chapters by 2027

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama reaffirmed his country’s ambitious EU accession goals during a press conference in Luxembourg on Monday.

Standing alongside Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski – representing the current EU Council Presidency – and EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, Rama made it clear: by 2027, all negotiation chapters with the European Union should not only be opened but also completed.

“This is an extremely ambitious goal, but we are firmly determined to achieve it,” Rama said, calling EU membership an “existential life choice” for Albania.

He emphasized the country’s strong political will and passionate commitment to the European integration process. Rama also expressed his gratitude to Poland for its steady leadership, as well as to the European Council and Commissioner Marta Kos for their ongoing support.

The message from Luxembourg was clear: Albania is committed to its European future – and is determined to take all necessary steps by 2027 to make it a reality.
