The Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Elisa Spiropali, was the guest of honor at the Prayer Breakfast in the Austrian Parliament a few days ago.

The Prayer Breakfast is a traditional event held in the US Congress, the European Parliament, and the parliaments of European countries, attended by members of parliament, political, public, and religious figures, and representatives of the business community.

Strong support

In addition to Austrian MPs, numerous MPs from EU member states, US congressmen and prominent figures from public, political and religious life also attended the event. Spiropali spoke with the President of the Austrian Parliament, Walter Rosenkranz, about the excellent bilateral relations and Austria’s strong support for Albania’s rapid accession to the EU.

Ms. Spiropali emphasized that the Albanian Parliament would continue to deepen its successful cooperation with the Austrian Parliament, also based on the protocol signed between the two parliaments in 2020. During the event, Spiropali also met with the former President of the Austrian National Council, Wolfgang Sobotka, as well as with members of parliament and prominent figures from Austria and other countries.
