Vance: “Europeans want less migration, but are getting more”

“The entire democratic project of the West is falling apart” if politicians don’t do what voters want, US Vice President JD Vance has warned Europe’s political elites.

“We are very frustrated,“ said Trump’s Vice President JD Vance (40) in a recent interview with ”Unherd”. The reason for this is ”that the people of Europe keep crying out for more sensible economic and migration policies, and the leaders of Europe keep going to the polls and offering the people of Europe the opposite of what they seem to have voted for.”

If people were asking for less migration and always getting more, “the entire democratic project of the West” would fall apart, Vance said.

The Vice President has recently – exxtra24 reported – caused outrage among the political elites of the EU. Among other things, he accused European governments of being “afraid of their own people” and therefore wanting to silence them. With regard to Germany, he had criticized the political isolation of the AfD.

In the interview, Vance commented on the trade conflicts initiated by US President Trump and the government’s zigzag course with regard to the punitive tariffs: Trump’s policy “will lead to many good trade relations with Europe”.
